Citizens, hope you're enjoying the Superbowl. Be advised that there's a pretty high chance the next strip is going to be 2-12 hours late. On the flip side of that, though, you are assured to get next Sunday's offering a day early.

Be warned, that one is my VDSD offering so there'll be a bit of nudity.

Edit: No matter how many people you kill, using a machine gun in battle is not a war crime because it does not cause unnecessary suffering; it simply performs its job horrifyingly well. -Sebastian Junger

Oh my stars and garters. That narrative over the Muftarak flashback... dammit, lirvilas. You're making some of us look bad.

One of these days, I'm going to round up all the Muftarak stuff, just so I can get the whole dang picture at once...

You keep getting better at this, it makes me wonder just what level you're trying to achieve here.
P.S. I await the story of Tona's facial scars in due time.

Homes, this is the webcomic equivalent of a lisping, leering four a.m. drunken but earnest rant about why you need to buy another lap dance.

Couldn't be. Those are terrible, smelly, embarrassing, silly, and... wait....

Okay fine, how the hell did you manage to make that so entertaining and interesting? Is the norm in webcomics just so very bad that you playing the sodomy baby of Jack Kerouac and Hunter S. Thompson (babysat by Burroughs?) is hands down better than the majority? Signs point to yes, come to think of it.

I just write what *I* want to read; y'all's entertainment is merely a welcome side effect.

Is this the explanation for the facial scars?

Great page, Lir.
Have I seen that soccer ball before?

Owing to all the heck I put our lirvilas-type friend through, and because I am an amateur LIRologist, I will save him some time and effort and point the way.

:)

The awesomeness of this weapon has best been described by way, way better writers than me.

Very cool. I really like how you wrote this page with dual layers.

Heheh... that soccer ball at the end. xD

Annnnnnd... cue the PTSD flashback.

I wonder if the food on Zho-van is better than Maureen's...

No, food's not much better on Zho-van.
That's why no one eats.
Just grab a bag of chips and move on.

This flashback is killing me.
Crazy how clueless Maureen can be. Clueless, but still very believable.
I think I know at least one person like this IRL.

Sig-

Yeah, trying to walk a thin, thin line here: sorrow, but not judgement; relief, not callousness; and most of all understanding, not pity.

I'll probably fail somewhere in the future. But for now, I'm glad it works.

Yyyeah, that page :/
Still burned in my mind and why I am here in the first place.
I guess it now serves as Tona's ultimate war reminder.

Kinda funny Maureen said how much she achieved in life but I guess that is the point of the trigger.
I think her mom should know she was in Iraq but no idea how "proud" she feels.

If that's the sort of page I have to generate to attract this kind of audience, then so be it.

It is one of the best pages you did. My opinion of course.
In one of the old PMs I said that it is apparent when the author only writes about war and when they might have some actual knowledge.
Obviously, we do not read fiction to get a feeling of a documentary but not sure how to say it.
