Maureen's got a pretty well-defined taste in pretty, well-defined men.

I think it's funny that Tona's mom not even in the least bit fazed about Tona bringing home a woman.

Grandma was positively worried that Tona was going stir-crazy and depressive, with good reason. Knowing the extent of her own appetite she's relieved that Tona is bringing home *anyone* that doesn't look like a homeless person. If she's racist she might be additionally relieved the person isn't black/hispanic/etc as well.

That's actually a relevant question, are Maureen and Tona racists?

-Nana Zehm believes in the importance of healthy appetites, both in children and in adults.

-Maureen who is very open-minded and adventurous uses outdated language from time to time. Tona on the other hand, is that mythical sort of creature that once believed the world to be a certain way until she met someone very unlike her who changed her beliefs... about a couple categories of people. (More on that later.) She's still a psycho libertarian gun nut, though.

Do you even know how much glee this scene fills me with? Spoiler: the answer is all of it. All of the glee.

For one, seeing four of my favorite ladies in comics interacting is awesome. Little Trinity and Mommy Tona warms my heart. Maureen is delightfully "clueless" as always, and you have been handling Felicia really well (and getting her more face time than she got in the original run of AB).

About the schedule, you have warned us several times that things might get a little sideways on that. It's worth the wait!

Thanks for the compliments... I don't respond so quick when there's a lack of snark.

And don't you worry about your intrepid lady reporter, she'll get her chance to see the naked truth within a few pages.

No Maureen, not a porno, a story! Those don't have stories.
Amusing as usual to see Maureen Zehm at work massaging the current situation towards booty-time. I find myself wondering just what her criminal record looks like, what should be in there that isn't, and how much of it is actually her fault.

Heh heh. Nice.

Maureen breaks hearts, not laws. That said, more than a few Spoon Lake police, Washing County Sheriff's deputies, and DNR game wardens have gone out of their way to make sure she's staying out of trouble. Soooo... I'd probably hazard she's got a few moving violations and DUIs, nothing too impressive for the Northwoods.

Out of their way... to make sure *she* is staying out of trouble, right. Did you intentionally imply that this was more officialdom snagging an excuse to knock on her door during work hours and say hello than diligent professionalism?

How to say it...
Maureen is a good character but I would not like her in real life. She is just... ANNOYING! :D
Maybe because I know such people from my own [REDACTED].

However, I approve of her shirt color.
