Apologies, trying to build a buffer for an upcoming travel commitment... hope a total lack of dialogue isn't too trying on your attention span.

1. Remember that you told us to hit your archives... What happens when we do may not be our fault...

2. Love the no-dialogue. Not that your dialogue is bad at all. Just... there is a certain drama that can only come with the montage.

Laughter and tears, laughter and tears.

If a comic is always heavy on some element, then that element loses power as there's nothing to contrast it. Same goes for any visual techniques... Prof, if you wanted to really mess with people, go to four panels one day with a super long vertical shot (~2000 pixels) of something something Nestor. Your audience would crap themselves (myself included).

And yeah, regarding archives, I think I'm pretty much blowing my much vaunted "stand alone story" concept right out of the water... (hey, let's address issues from two or three volumes ago! hur hur). I guess I'll have to get good at art to make up for the total f***ing confusion.

Wow Lir, each one of these panels is beautiful.
Sets the perfect mood.

Does Tona know about the "Sonja heart" tattoo?

1) Thank you, RD.

2) A potentially devastating continuity issue! And yes, I have done an edit back in Vol 2 as a result of this. But apparently that night was a whole lot of (awkward, sweaty) groping around in the dark.

I agree with Prof on the dialogue! It really adds something to the scene by it... not being there XD. SOmehow, I may have contradicted myself :P.... but you get me! (I hope!)

You've illustrated this scene so beautifully!

Thanks, Serps.

I'll be back into the overly convoluted and cryptic verbal acrobatics shortly enough, but for now enjoy this moment of tropical calm.

Aha, I see, Augustus didn't steal the photograph to play with Maerc's head. That makes more sense.

Alexander and Maerc aren't done, not by a long sight, despite every appearance of the next few weeks.

Keep your suspicions close!

"Keep your suspicions close!"
Hold on, am I distressing you by trying to guess your plot here? I could supply improvisational bullshit instead but I like trying to guess further along an author's plot than they've figured out.

To go with the metaphors of an artist: the page composition is laid out, but not the crosshatching. Your speculations fall more towards the latter.

That's interesting, but it kinda avoids answering my question about whether it's annoying for me to guess things like... *redacted in case it's actually problematic*
There's probably more detail buried in your old work if you keep referencing it like this, but I honestly found 'chapter 2' a little hard to read despite the interesting writing because of the... *ahem* production values.

Vol 2 is difficult to read for a wide variety of reasons, the art being only one of them. I was getting my feet under me again and it shows.

I don't mean to make light of whatever your logistical/legal situation is, but if you had a login from some non-work location we could shoot spoileriffic PMs...

My days off are too few and precious to spend them at a computer.
I do detect a hint that it would help if I don't guess your plot twists before you deploy them though, so I'll try for a tiny bit of restraint. Like so: I wonder where Augustus comes in during this trip, and what he looked like in a bikini.

OMG, this is cool! I expected a BIT more than the first panel but I will deal :>
Not sure Tona would agree but then she had her own "adventures".

Is this also where Sonja got her arm tattoos?

Nice when you can go to Jamaica with student money...

More like money made selling marijuana to students.

And you might want to do some archive digging regarding those patterns on her arms...

Since I'm answering your stuff in reverse order, no, no I'm not interested in rendering the bumping of uglies... you'll have to find my secret secret site for that.

It's a bad tip nowadays, don't do it. Students have every bit as much desire for product as they had back then but in the last twelve years they have gotten noticeably poorer on average and median, and they weren't too affluent before. Add in increasing legalization and legitimization and the student market in maryjane isn't as lucrative as it used to be by a long shot.

Just to chime in here for the lawyers:

I am not espousing the sales of illicit substances, especially in Slovakia, where I am told they still crucify drug dealers and litterbugs.

But yeah that's pretty much the plot of Volume 1.

AC, you are taking my comments way too seriously -_-;
Maybe I should have clarified it kinda gave me an idea for my own work.

Also, there was a drug dealing business across my street and I do not want a repeat of what happened.
Case closed.

Sorry, one of my favourite kinds of humour is to bend the lines between taking things seriously and not taking them seriously. Hence the practical advice on how to use a woodchipper for mulching meat as a response to a comic-reference to Fargo's mulching scene, and so on. You are now enlightened!

I'll add my up-vote to the no-dialogue thing. Also, that was a decent-sized dead dinosaur that Eric gave Sonja. I can only think that if she was wearing it, it would be visible on her left ring-finger in Panel 3...

As someone who knows all too well the perils of having a long-running comic with a lot of characters and continuity, some friendly advice; when referencing past events, please link to specific pages and strips, not just the entire archive of the old stuff.
