Eh, you have to go back to this page to pick up on teh feelz. This is more to the tune of "here's what's at stake".

OK, fine, there might be some feelz on the next couple pages... the good kind.

I've always wanted to go to Jamaica.

Thanks! Double layers of cell shading on Sonja over there.

It certainly beats the hell out of Autumn Bay (in the winter).

From time to time I step away from the exploitative ultraviolence...

Thank you.

It's interesting how different subject matter brings out different commenters...

Do we get a connecting piece from here to here?

Also, you have come effing FAR art-wise. Dang, sir!

Got some unpacking to do, Prof. Because they might only have brought their swimsuits, but Sonja and Eric still have a hell of a lot of baggage.

And I don't know what you're talking about, my art's always been this good.

And for goodness sake, just take the dang compliment. :P

Oh the chutzpah. Damnit, I don't fault your execution or product, but there are repercussions for doing something this brazen. You applied the Scott McCloud infinite canvas technique without making a horrible, pretentious mess of it... and now you've just inspired a dozen other people to try the same thing and get it horribly, disastrously wrong!
*shakes fist*

Flattering, but you grossly underestimate my peers' slavish adherence to print format. We webcomics producers must set aside longings for the "legitimacy" of hardcopy... Yeah, I'm talking to ALL OF YOU.

And don't you worry, "pretentious mess" is my middle name.

Attempting to implement the infinite canvas techniques in proportions where they can't work (i.e. printed page proportions) is the most common way for them to fail that I've seen.
I also know enough about how every 'successful' professional artist stands on the broken lives and dreams of at least a thousand failures, and could wax cynical on the topic. I'll spare us both the hassle, and damage to my anonymity, of me doing so. :)

P.S. To reference Charles Stross, your job is to tell lies. Pretense is the root of the whole endeavour.

I am glad you did not put stars where the dark side of the moon is.
I have seen that and I probably would not be careful myself...

Really awesome romantic night sky :> :> :>

I'd like to think my work is striving for the cheesy metaphor there, that just because something isn't seen doesn't mean it's not there, shifting tides and hearts.

You have problems "taking compliments better" because, as you strive for "perfection" (whatever that is) and only see the (perceived) faults in your art. I go through the same thing at work - it's a real buzz-kill...
