Pretty clever use of the double bubble, Lirvilas. I wouldn't have thought to that. It's more seamless the way you did it than the crap way I would have. hahahah.

If this is an original-invention trick you're seriously good at visual design. If this is stolen from somewhere I honestly don't know where and I'm curious where. Either way, you're proving that what you see and visualize is more important than raw drawing skill for making awesome visuals.
The woman who actually isn't there in Chuck's sunglasses is more than a little unsubtle, but it should help folks understand just whose mouthpiece he's serving as.

I like the glasses effect myself. saved by daddy issues! "She almost killed me, then I started singing, the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon..."

Okay, so the next time I get attacked, I'm going to try that. Either it will work because it hits close to home or it will work because the attackers will think I have lost my damn mind.
Either way, I'm good.

"saved by daddy issues"

nice

Speaking of which, y'all might recognize the person attending his wake... who (while not strictly an original character) is yet another of my 30 for 30 characters.

Allow me to take a stab at that link, lirv

Damn, man. That's harsh. And cold. At the same time.

Really love the transparent effect on the dictated/recorded double word balloons. Great storytelling here.

Thanks... I fired up Mangastudio 4 the other day and realized how very much dependent on software this work is.

You just want to see "Zombie Chuck", don't you?

(Might happen, but only out of canon.)

Whoa, now that's a difficult way to learn that kind of information. Definitely a sucker punch to the psyche.

So there's that. Yeah.

Thank you!

Here's a question I've been meaning to ask: Are there actually people with the last name, "Linguine?" Wikipedia tells me, "The name linguine means "little tongues" in Italian, where it is a plural of the feminine linguina," and there's apparently a MySpace page for someone called, "John Linguini," but that could just be a stage name.

"Linguine" is a completely throwaway and arbitrary name choice made ~15 years ago... it's a Dave Sim sorta problem (see: Red Sophia).

So no, I'm not aware of that being an established family name.

Whoa, it's been ages since the last time I thought of Cerebus. Gotta say, I liked the early stuff best, and gave up after a bit too much misogyny and gratuitous referencing of Oscar Wilde.
