Gah, so much damn exposition. WE NEED SOME ACTION!

Or at least some cheesecake.

...I'd settle for a ham sandwich at this point.

(Worth mentioning from time to time: Augustus Alexander and Carter Lake and well the whole damn city are part of the comic series Autumn Bay.)

Spying on Mr. Augustus's meeting... oh, you wicked, evil, naughty, naughty...

Is that Chuck? If so, he is a VERY busy guy...

And Sam, dear, sweet Sam, is a little bit of an idiot. But he's loyal(ish), so there's that...

You'll see why Chuck's in town in a few dozen pages... let's just say that MSV likes to hit two birds with one stone.

Were the three of you in a meeting or something? All of these comments showed up within minutes of each other.

I guess some of your diehards just hit at the same time. Great(ly warped?) minds think alike?

Still though, I don't know if Sam should make enemies of these guys.

Sam's full of himself. Sorta like Felicia. Crusading journalist and all that.

But like Felicia, he has an unknown (to him), exceptional violent backer.

And I'm not talking about Hollywood.

" he has an unknown (to him), exceptional violent backer"

I'm going to take a stab at this (and when I'm shooting darts like this, ya can't cry "foul" for digging up stuff in the public view - if I'm right).

Is this your card?

Although that is a pretty good idea, that's too complicated for this plotline.

It's the obvious answer--MSV's not going to let Aegis do anything to Sam, not when they want to do it first.

There's electronic noise gates in that gear.

But yes, left to his own devices Chuck would spend a lot of time listening to farts.

More details next update.

Hmm you almost have to keep up with both of these now .. ( So W&L is canon to AB now? )

Common Cents, I've truly got no idea what Prof is up to.

If written well enough both series should be able to stand on their own while (subtly) augmenting the other.

Heh. Apologies... there's just so much idiocy about to go down that I am awash in DERP.

It's probably months from now but I promise you Sam's going to get uh what he deserves. heh heh

Chuck is such a hero and a badass and...
Cool :D

I still cannot decide whether Sam switches between being an idiot and someone smart or he is constantly social engineering as he goes.
I already wrote you once about how I see him since the the very first volume (canon or not).
It is obvious he is actually smart and damn resourceful but how much is acting?

Also, can we scientifically talk about Ivan's skull and brain?

That's not Ivan, that's my shitty character composition. Guy's name is Hawke, not that it matters.

Ivan's got a butt chin, no conehead, and a much paler skin tone... and he's not along on this mission. You'll be grateful of that in a few pages.

That Hawke. OK. Now I know who that name was.
There was another similar looking guy when Tona shot [REDACTED] in front of the court hall.

I just got an idea ;)
Thanks!

Dang. On one hand I'm amazed by Sam's confidence and arrogance in this...and then I sit back and remember that this is Sam.

Hmm. I also really suspect this is going to come back to bite him pretty fast. I wonder what Felicia is up to now.

"I wonder what Felicia is up to now"

Yeah, Felicia is off getting ready to do something even stupider than taunting Aegis Securitech.

Did I ever mention that I have a love/hate thing for journalists? They're as big a pack of booze-hounds and lechs as anywhere, except that nobody can call them out on it. There's a reason that the first target of totalitarian governments (cough cough Russia cough China) is a free press.

TLDR: Felicia is about to make a fool of herself.

GJ Felicia. On the up note: drama is good for stories when done well. And you do it well.

I've noticed the love more than the hate thing in your work with journalists.

(three cheers for characters making fools of themselves. Seriously, it's fun to watch.)

Just to he clear, Felicia is fully on loan to the LIRverse right now, so I have very little clue of the depths of lirvilas's demented intentions toward her...

The options on the table are:
-a fistfight
-a road trip
-a seduction
or some combination thereof.

They don't call it "sensational journalism" for no reason.
