That is so like Sam.
He is already busted and found out.

By the way, Lir. How many female characters do you have in stock?
I am starting to notice that :D :D

You've already met this female character; you'll realize who it is on Sunday night.

This comment actually disturbed me more than our back-and-forth over the casually routine nature of genocide in SF properties!

1) Loving the slight tweak on Sam's design. IIRC, that hair has long been a sticking point.

2) Terribly curious to see what's going on in my neighborhood! :)

3) Things ARE never quite what they seem to be... :P

ahhhhh that pink tie and that hair!
You've got this guy down.
Honestly, I'm pretty sure I knew a few guys JUST like him.
ONE even had the exact same nose and blonde hairdo.

I think that's why Sam could never be my favourite character.

1) Watch out for them fingerless gloves!

2) Note that Elektra is not referring to it as "non-lethal" force.

A producer could kill a billion people from orbit and not put in a V! tag on their work... however in this chapter I aim to paint that V! in bright brutal crimson.

You'll have to wait for the specifics!

I got the "ultraviolence" bit. I was referring to the " kill a billion people from orbit" part (the whole "Death Star blowing up Alderaan" bit)...

Not a conscious reference, and I would appreciate it if you call me on any Star Wars references that slip into the work as I'm not intending on leaning on that mythos at all.

My main criticism of Star Wars is it's essentially a civil war amongst the special people (Force users) with all the rest of us rabble as mere props/cannonfodder/atrocity bait. At least in Star Trek the average schmuck can join Starfleet and at worst die as a redshirt.

So fuckin' let Alderaan burn--that's no moon!

RE: SW Mythos. That was simply the first one that came to mind. There have been many other "nuke 'em from orbit" scenes from other SF franchises:
1. Lexx - the ship itself is a planet-killer;
2. Babylon 5 - the Vorlon have a planet-killing ship, the Shadows have a planet-killing "cloud" (actually a framework for launching planet-busting missiles/bombs), and the Centauri used "Mass Drivers" (WMDs) to "pacify" the Narn;
3. Star Trek - TOS, TNG, Voyager, DS9, all had aliens/enemies/allies with planet-destroying capabilities;
4. BSG - the Cylons (in both the original and the reboot) completely killed off all life in the 12 Colonies;
5. And those are just the movies and TV shows...

You can be a victim, heroic defender, "redshirt" or willing participant anywhere! lol

I think the haircuts in my comics are another symptom of the author living vicariously through his characters.

Then again, things are never as they seem in the Livrilasverse (?), so combining the two makes things even less seem-y.
