Here at Let It Ride we cater to a classier sort of trashy...

I have to admit that when I'm slamming out a set of heels I chuckle and think "RD's gonna luv this." In that vein I really need to expand my repertoire of women's footwear.

By the way, I like the way you've dealt with that filler dialogue that should kinda blend into the background.

I may pilfer this method for my comic.
:-o

Hmm. Good feedback.

I suppose it is indeed "filler dialogue" and "background talk" but what I was gunning for was a depiction of Sonja's mental state where she's only half hearing what they're saying. Also "Transparency ==> 50%" is how I got that done.

It's going to take me a decade to be able to fully exploit Manga Studio...

Well, it certainly does have the feel of semi-ignored speech.
What's interesting for me is that I kind of hyper-focused on the actions of the characters. It's a really good way to draw your reader's attention to exactly what you want them to see.

Centcom, in like a decade or two when I'm passing through Arizona in my RV we are gonna go drink margaritas and yell at each other about "compositional choices" and other sequential art stuff.

'tactical incident control' yep, sure be that I'm thinking

transparency so far:
#1 - use in the inset figure
#5 - soft focus in the top panel
#6 - blur in the background figure [technically transparency]
#7 book highlight
I probably missed some, but it's a core tool in so many ways, go for it

Maerc's Tactical Incident Control (War Room) might be rendered with transparency but it sure doesn't practice it!

I, too, shall be filing away your background talk technique for my own nefarious purposes. I wish I would have thought of / known about it for certain scenes in AB 1.0...

Damn, man... I'm looking at this epic you're churning out, and at what I have done so far for AB 2.0. You are seriously making me bring out the big guns.

Please do, Prof. I know that we all like "big guns" in the context of Autumn Babes.
