I would hope it's been made sufficiently clear, but just in case you missed it

DO NOT FUCK WITH AUGUSTUS ALEXANDER.

...

That is all.

...

Actually, it's not:

1) This was the first page partially produced on my new Mac Air NATO CODE NAME "Silver Bear" and gosh did that slow things down... by about five minutes. Kids--you get two (2) installs of MS 5! Use them wisely!

2) More importantly: Thank you, Prof, for providing extensive backstory for who can only be described as the man who literally knows where the bodies are buried. He might not be walking so well these days, but Gus sure has the patience of a Pope and the wrath of a Khan. Felicia was fun to draw because of all the curves and implied sexual relations with 3/4 of my main cast, but I am most fortunate to have stolen/borrowed/added to the character of Augustus Alexander:

The birds lose their songs and the wind dies in the trees when he is present.

Man, I'm really curious what the myth of the guy who killed Medusa has to do with either capping, or not capping, some dudes with bags on their heads.

Well, well, well... head bags (an essential in the espionage game) for a full half of Four Kings Consulting.

Is he bringing them into ABay? :O

I wonder how many people know that the flashback scene is pre-WWII... :)

Its good to see that he is more than likely getting one up on Maerc. Sure, Maerc can hold his own against any single captain of AB industry, but Gus regularly meets and dines with SEVERAL of them (Fiore, Takira, Drake, and, perhaps most importantly, Chapel).

That i some beautiful scenework, by the way. This one is jealous.

Maerc REALLY shouldn't have called him a "janitor"...

Wonder if Julius ever found that "gold"? :)

Nobody ever said every marriage was happy. Think of reassembling the Four Kings as Alexander's version of a "prenup".

And I assure you, Prof, that for their own part Alexander's dining companions likely amass key resources against him (and each other) as well. After all, that is how the game is played.

Fantastic page!

I agree with its moral of "don't fuck with Alexander.

Thanks, Tom.

Now we know why the Boogie Man wears MSV stuff because he was assembled out of their "salvaged parts" ugh

Who is under the bags? Looks like Maerc and Eric MacDonald.

I thought MacDonald was dead for sure, shot multiple times with rifle fire and clubbed over the head as well. But I don't know who else might be sitting on the right, and whoever it is, is wearing a suit that looks like MacDonald's suit.

If the third panel in comic 95 shows the Four Kings, then Eric MacDonald counts as one of the four and that folder is relevant. (Should I recognize all of the four? I only recognize Grigori and MacDonald. Double-check: both of them are Kings in the playing cards shown in "Junk in the Trunk"; Grigori is King of Spades, MacDonald is King of Hearts.)

MacDonald could still be alive if he had serious body armor under his suit. That seems plausible... he knew he was headed into trouble and he wasn't suicidal (at least before starting Plan C he wasn't). Ordinary concealable body armor is unlikely to stop close-range fire from AR-15 or M-16 rifles, as the MSV staff found out by personal experience.

Even if MacDonald is alive and not bleeding right now, the situation doesn't look good. MacDonald never called Augustus a janitor, but I doubt Alexander is looking kindly upon him.

/Who is under the bags? Looks like Maerc and Eric MacDonald./

I'm thinking it's either Maerc and Macdonald or Maerc and Chuck. But the latter is really unlikely, especially considering the folder.

It's Eric and Grigori. Eric was hit multiple times by "beanbag" rounds, the same sort of non-lethal weaponry was used on Tona earlier in the comic (when Trinity was kidnapped). Grigori has the same tattoo that Sonja has, likely a consequence of them both being siblings and affiliated with the same Russian Mafia family...

BTW - that's an excellent sunrise in Panel 1. Almost looks like a nuke went off in them that hills... (world burning...)

Good catch. I was thinking pseudolovers matching tats, but grigori makes sense as well. And that definitely is a nice sunrise

But Grigori didn't call Alexander a "janitor" and neither did MacDonald.

The scene loses a bit of its punch in your interpretation. "Maerc called me a janitor, so in retaliation I have a bag over Grigori's head."

Not 100% certain you are wrong but I'm gonna stick with my original guess.

Also, I'm pretty sure that Maerc was feeding information to MacDonald, hoping to see Alexander's forces wiped out. If Alexander even suspects that, well, I wouldn't want to be in Maerc's shoes.

That would appear to be Rasputin and MacDonald going for a drive with Mr. Alexander.

Ever kill/kidnap/assault your boss over a passing slight? Didn't think so. But maybe you moved that file to a little lower in the stack, maybe their coffee wasn't so warm. And maybe you set aside resources for the day when they were *not* your boss anymore.

Sorta like Perseus--if you captured a powerful weapon that could destroy your enemies, would you just abandon it on the field of battle?
