Be glad I'm not running this comic, I'd be very tempted to take that as a challenge.

AC, if you wanna run a comic... go back into my archives, look at the visual vomit that passed for my "drawings" up until recently and tell me the bar's too high.

@ AC: It is apparent to me that you just want to watch the (fictional) world(s) burn. I am convinced that you would take the act of having a readership as a challenge to blow everything up! :)

(Going against expectation just to do it is just as bad as following expectation blindly.)

@lirvilas
I know that worse than that has been popular over the years, and that the internet in general has a fondness for a steaming turd delivered daily in preference to steak once a month, figuratively speaking. The difficulties come in where I work more hours of the week than most people do, actively dislike drawing, and have inadequate skill, free time and drive when it comes to writing fiction. If you were brave enough I'd consider giving you a pastebin dump of one of my more recent--very incomplete--efforts at recreational fiction writing, but you're on the clock so ask me again later if you're genuinely interested.

@ProfEtherhuffing
I am a mildly misanthropic, cynical contrarian that has a profound disgust with and distrust of groupthink and other inadequately examined (tamed) prejudices. I also have certain anarchist, socialist and pacifist leanings. I am not so much a nihilist destruction junkie, although I do have my own pyromaniac inclinations from time to time like most people.
What I would want to do to an audience is both more and less brutal than that: I want to rub people's faces in the filthy, stinking mud of their inadequately-examined beliefs. I want to force them to confront and spelunk the complacently-ignored chasms of their ignorance and wishful thinking. At times that involves avoiding, subverting and/or mocking the vast majority of clich├ęs... and indeed doing so to those audiences as well.

Yeah, no, I don't think anyone here thinks we're the equal of Kimmo Lemetti's creative talent.

Damn that's some beautiful artwork and absurdism....

Only one thing to do, and I really hate to say this.

Put him down and evacuate the building.

IMHO, Eric Macdonald is, completely and irrevocably, off the reservation. He is crossing a line here, and some things, once broken, can't be fixed.

Plus, all those redundancies means its gonna go "boom"...

Dangit... that "beautiful exception line did get me...

You seem pretty sure he's pushing the Big Red Button, and pretty sure you know what it does.

If he blows up Tona at this moment I will be really shocked. It seems possible that he is disarming the deadman switch just to make certain that he does not blow up Tona, even at the cost of failing his mission and expecting to die.

In fact one possible outcome is that he disarms the deadman switch and a split second later Tona shoots him with that rifle. I am not betting against this.

Read his internal dialog. He sounds like he thinks Tona might be after him, and if so, his disarming of the deadman switch is specifically to allow Tona to shoot him without everyone going up in a big boom. Me, I would have yelled "Tona! I am going to just walk away now and take this deadman switch with me!" His sudden stabbing at his phone is likely to get him shot even if he wasn't about to be.

Unless Eric is fast enough to enter the disarm code before any number of active parties around him put bullets into his cranium, it's all moot given that he has armed the deadman's switch.

I am terribly curious about how our red coated entertainer is going to end this...

Man, wisdom always comes after you needed it badly. Too bad it's only coming to Eric now that assaulting and killing for freedom and justice is a dubious proposition at best.

Holy moly. >_< All intensity is on. I really like panel 4.

It's interesting that Eric hadn't accounted for Tona possibly showing up.

I ran out of seat edge and fell on the floor.
