Ha ha ha ha I made it.

I'm (probably) back now, but this page was uploaded from the ends of the earth. This sucker got bounced off a satellite!

The blasts are still to come.

And yes, in this day and age we make our own stars.

Huh, looks like Eric's plan to try and pit MSV and AS against each other didn't last too long. Oh well, it must have been fun while it lasted.

I'm sure that Sonja has particular reason to be wary of Augustus. I await the grand reveal of why that may be, and I'll refrain from stating my first guess because it's a pretty good secret if I'm right.

AC: lirvilas is a devious, wily mofo. He asks permission from me for various things pertaining to my characters (of which there are three at the wedding thus far), and I have no clue what's happening next.

And yes, Augustus Alexander, Carter Lake, and Felicia Kingsley are all my babies. I am unsure if I am getting them back in one piece, considering that Mr. Alexander is currently not walking following this brutal attack...

You I would tell my guess, because you could probably assess how likely it is better than I can. Alas, it would spoil things if I'm right and possibly even if I'm wrong.

Congratulations on making it, sir.

That's for you AND for Mr. Alexander.

This situation is certainly getting more and more complex and potentially bloody...

I'll just put this out in the open, so the peanut gallery can have at it:

Our time working together is drawing to a close.

This should become sadly obvious over the next couple pages, assuming I can actually get them done before deadline--the next three are probably going to be squeakers.

But yeah, if Holding Pattern could be interpreted to be about the Republican Party (in a prediction that is either way too premature or totally false), then Winners and Losers may turn out to be about the Democrats.

Digging for some uh stock footage back here and it occurred to me: seriously, no digs at me or my character for calling your fellah Carter a "soulless killing machine"?!

After the tenderizer act he pulled on Messrs. Braun and Hawke, and the sheer horror on the face of Sonja during that scene, I had assumed that that was EXACTLY how she saw him.

I honestly figured it was an ironic turn of phrase, given the crap her agents get up to... *cough pot-kettle relations cough*

Needs more bass, could use a little bit more irregularity to jar the listeners' expectations. It's supposed to sound at least slightly insane, you know?

Neh. I thought Elliot slipped on the marble floor and snapped his neck. Not yet.
Yes. I do not like him :T

One crappy software set with the single elimination rule evaluated that Elliot is going to win. Multiple times. Hm.
But that is the practical simulation.

Too soon to say anything, I am confused, but I knew he is going to play everyone. I would not trust the merger. He already backstabbed Sonja so he might as well stab Alex right after. Alex is not exactly in the best state and he already did this same "in the open and cocky" act with terrible results.
How loyal is Cannon is the question. Again.

Sonja did some dubious stuff but she is still on my list of people who do not deserve to be betrayed for now.
She should settle in the countryside somewhere far from this crap but I will save you the trouble of saying you disagree.

1) "Elliot is going to win"

A safe presumption.

2) "I would not trust the merger"

Sage advice.

3) "He already did this same "in the open and cocky" act with terrible results"

A very valid point. But I think Mr. A has a few more plays up his sleeve this time, including Cannon.

4) "She should settle in the countryside somewhere far from this crap"

Noted.

That's a great twist.

Somehow, in the end, I don't see Elliot coming out on top in this story.

Trying to get caught up; any links to the most relevant previous strips? For long form webcomics (like the kind I used to do and am doing again soon), links in the comments section are essential.

My short answer is check out Prof's comments, he usually includes the relevant back links. It's like a friggin' pathology with him.

The longer answer is I haven't decided whether to continue posting material on this website (or really, anywhere) after I get done telling this particular story, and burning a lot of calories back linking a doomed work seems counterindicated.
