On travel for the next couple days. There is a significant chance that Wednesday's update will late or missed. I appreciate your comments and will reply when I get the chance.

Just about "party time". Let's see if any chaperones show up.

Well now, that's just sinister and stupid. It's one thing to be a serial killer picking up homeless people and hookers the cops won't investigate too much when they go missing. It's something else many times over when the person is a professional noisemaker.

It's also worth asking what the heck Felicia could have found at this wedding that warrants rapemurder to protect the secret. One would think that Maerc would have a handle on his goons making sure they are not overly excessive with the violence at his wedding. That either means this is the goons trying to get away with something while he's not paying attention, or....

AC, I want you to take a look at the symbol on the wall on this page (final panel). Look familiar? Try here. Now take a look at this page. See the talk of "initiation" and (more importantly) "recurring annoyance" (because of her presence way back here? (MSV has been shown to be after her since this page.)

I think Maerc is aware and unconcerned, and that, barring an intervention, Felicia's goose is well and truly cooked...

After getting to the end of the scene of the Zehm home being raided by MSV, I figured that scene was the incident that lead to Felicia being chased by MSV. I figured she hadn't been particularly identified as a threat by MSV, and that the real bounty (and threat) that both Maerc and Alexander are after is Eric MacDonald. You may be right about her having been pursued as an enemy more specifically, vigorously and earlier than that however.

The reasons for the goons at MSV to chase Felicia are piling up. And believe me, I keep close eyes on her (she IS my baby, after all, and I'm eventually reclaiming her if she survives).

Being an investigative journalist, she has a habit of shedding light on things that others want kept in the dark, like the straight assassination of a high-profile shark of a lawyer due to what he learned about Eric's mission. And no, not by a crazed fan of Tona Zehm (read "convenient smokescreen).

I have done multiple read-throughs of the LIRverse saga (partially because, owing to shared world stuff, I look at lirv as Howard to my Lovecraft and partially because he "borrows" characters and stuff from me).

tl;dr Prof's kind of a LIRologist

@AC: I think that there's more than a few characters here who would agree that the way MSV does business is both sinister and stupid, and that they need to be put to an end... and these are not merely the characters you would expect (Sam, Felicia, et al.)

@Prof: Felicia can't publish off of hearsay and unconfirmed sources, hence the unsuccessful undercover work here. And I'm not Howard, although this travel of mine comes pretty close to being self-damaging. [redacted]

There was something else, damn it. Running on partial brain cells right now.

I have noticed that you, Prof, have much greater familiarity with the works of Lir than I do, and I have been following it ever since not too long after: http://letitride.webcomic.ws/comics/first/

And yeah, if this is how Maerc's security acts when there's a spotlight on them, then most people would probably find stuff they do when they think they can let their hair down even spicier. It isn't hard to build up an enemies list longer than you can keep track of if your organization acts like that much of an asshole, collectively speaking.

Yes, Wendell was there, but he managed to make himself disappear when the rubber met the road... that wasn't intentional when I wrote this, but it now bears some scrutiny.
