Today is portentous.

If you passed today, what regrets would you have? What have you done to mitigate or directly address them? Are you ready?

Not to fixate too much, but I burned some full bodied nicotine this weekend, as well as consumed some high end hooch... and something about that combination had me checking the status of my will.

ATTENTION: WEDNESDAY'S PAGE WILL BE A WEE BIT NSFW.

Looks like my joke of calling all weddings funerals might be applicable here.

Ain't no joke.

(That's the other comic.)

Too many regrets to make any kind of list, and I'll never be ready. It's one of the many reasons I'm a coward.

It's a little bit gutsy to go having a big gala wedding in the middle of a shooting and bombing war, maybe a bit stupid to. Maerc, what the hell are you thinking?

AC, I don't know what your problem is. Having a big wedding at the finale to resolve all the various loose ends has been a standard trope all the way back to Shakespeare's comedies Richard III and King Lear.

...

Maerc knows exactly what he's doing.

From a plotting point of view it makes sense to arrange a climax scene, no question. What I'm failing to understand is Maerc's motivations and planning. Did I misjudge the time-skip, is Maerc's wedding not happening less than a half a year since the bombing of Aegis Securitech and Maerc Security Ventures buildings? Until that problem has been laid to rest with certainty, a high-profile event with many guests and staff which may potentially be targeted for the next attack on MSV, or Maerc himself. That seems less than cautious.

Damnit, I was hoping for Matthew 21:12 instead.

Aw cripes, lirv... this page has me feeling icky on several fronts...

1. Is that Agent Cannon working for the direct competitor of what I can only guess is his previous employer? (There may be more at play here...)

2. The "catering" girl there... Is that who I think it is? If it is, she sure gets around...

3. That symbol... that thing gives me the creeps, sitting there all white wall and whatnot...

4. That green glow on Maerc's glasses. Where I come from, green glows are NEVER healthy. Blue glows are...

On the whole, this is very nice staging, sir. I am currently scribbling notes (and keeping them in the tinfoil lining of my fedora...

Feeling icky? Take a shower, Prof.

1. Yes.
2. Yes, that's Felicia.
3. Don't know what your problem is, go see my response above to AC.
4. In Japanese, blue and green are considered essentially the same color. Get over your imperialistic Western palette biases, geez.

Anyways, I can see that you're thinking about this too hard. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Okay, I'm going to start by getting the obvious "presidential cigar" joke out of the way...

1. I expect an explanation is in the works? As in, "wait and see"?

2. Good girl...

3. I know somewhere else a symbol like that turned up today, sir...

4. Those in the know can tell you that a quick scan of technology in conspiracy circles lets you know if it is nice, human friendly tech (CRT blue) or nasty alien tech (creepy green).

My "imperialistic Western palette biases" can mean the difference between uploading a virus to the alien invaders' computer and having my brains fried out by the wrong end of an interrogtation machine incorporating an interossiter...

@AC: And that blue is just the visible light, which is harmless... however it is also the most beautiful, unearthly glow I've ever had the fortune to see:

Why the hell do they write E as C?
I like the designer was cool but there is also readability D:

If Eric is going to bomb it because of his own ruined weddings as some kind of a sick joke then he is really salty.
I would not place the bomb in the cake though. That is obvious. I would pay a fake priest and put it on him.... Security, right.

Although I am honestly confused, haha.

Readability is grossly overrated! Most Techno devices are components within another company's finished product. (Yes, it's a crummy logo.)

"he is really salty"<--laughed at that phrase.

We'll see exactly who aims to disrupt this event...

They're at Fox Plaza in Century City, LA.

But yes, there will be a few folks going to the hospital before this chapter is done. Some of them might even avoid the coroner.

That second panel with the implied city looks really cool, it sets the mood well.

Husbando has some major chin going on, too. I didn't realize how much chin there was.
Hmmm, Felicia doesn't seem very happy. Either to not be undercover as a catering lady, or to be on the job.

It'll be an explosive evening I'm sure.
